Neosho Arts Council is taking part in Make Music Day on June 21, 2023. We are presenting two free community events with a Lunch and Listen concert at the Neosho National Fish Hatchery and AfternoonTunes taking place at the Neosho Newton County Library later the same day.
Join The Buffalo Creek Incident for their performance at the hatchery’s pavilion starting at 11:30am. Everyone is invited to bring their lunch and enjoy some live music during this come and go concert. The group will be performing traditional mountain music during the come and go concert for all ages. Patrons will enjoy music from stringed instruments like the fiddle, dulcimer, and guitar that has its deep roots in the ballads of Ireland and the British Isles with added elements from across early America. Later that day Ozark Sky will be performing a mix of folk, rock, and country at 3:00pm inside the community room of the Neosho Newton County Library. All ages are invited to enjoy this lively performance. Make Music Day is a one-day event where free, live musical performances, opportunities to make music and other musical events take place around the world on the longest day of the year. Musical festivities in Neosho are part of a global celebration of music making in over 1,000 cities globally. |
