Accepting Panel Applications

Have a interesting topic for a panel? Have something you want to share with the fandom? Submit your panel idea now!

What's a panel you ask? It's a lecture, demonstration, discussion, etc. that engages your audience and possibly teaches them something along the way!

Neosho Arts Council wants to insure a variety of quality panels for ArtCon 2025.
We want your panel to be as unique as possible.
We have a full slate of advertising set up for the event.
Filling out this application does not guarantee a panel.
All applications will be reviewed and notification of acceptance by December 31, 2024.

Detailed and well written panel descriptions will get the highest considerations. Please be as through as possible (but please don't write a novel lol). The more information provided in the application greatly helps us with selecting panels that are unique and don't cover the same topics.

Panel slots are limited. Panels are slated for 45minute blocks (this includes presentation, Q&A, discussions).

“All Ages” Panel Policy
Any panel should be deemed all ages if the material is deemed acceptable for American television or is not rated higher then PG-13.

If your panel is “All Ages” the following things are not acceptable;
Any content already outlined specifically for 18+ panels
Swear words
Racial slurs
Hate speech

“18+” Panel Policy
Any panel should be deemed 18+ if the material is deemed “adult material” or viewed as “inappropriate for minors”. All panelists for 18+ panels must be 18+ years of age or older on the day of the panel, no exceptions.
Panel content that is deemed 18+ includes, but is not limited to;
Adult language and cursing
Hentai/Pornography
Sexual Intercourse
Nudity or partial nudity (this refers to images from art/movies/tv/comics....presenters need to be clothed!)
Sexuality
Gore

If you’re still not sure if your panel should be considered 18+, please contact us and let’s discuss it, or simply play it safe and label it 18+.

The following things will not be tolerated in any panel;

Racial slurs
Hate speech (including homophobic slurs).
Nudity

Cancellation Policy - We are a rain or shine event but in the event of extreme weather or other event that forces the cancellation of ArtCon you will be alerted via e-mail.

I, the Panelist, release and hold forever harmless ArtCon, Neosho Arts Council, the City of Neosho, and all associated volunteers, employees and staff from any liability for all damages to persons and properties resulting from acts of natural, loss, theft, vandalism, injury or medical emergency sustained at the convention. Furthermore: the above mentioned persons, groups, or organizations, shall be held forever harmless from any cause of action, claim or petition, filed in any court or administrative tribunal, arising out of said event, including all costs, attorneys' fees, judgments or awards. I, the artist, agree to behave in a professional manner at all times that best represents ArtCon and Neosho Arts Council. I also understand that this includes behavior toward Convention Staff, Attendees, as well as other Volunteers; whether it be in person, telecommunications, or online in any way. These agreements cover full setup, run of the show, and tear down. I, the artist, understand that all work done for ArtCon and Neosho Arts Council is non paid and will not hold ArtCon and Neosho Arts Council or any of its staff, affiliates, or associates liable for compensation. I understand that ArtCon and Neosho Arts Council management reserves the right to make the final interpretation of these rules. I have read and agree to the above statements. Panel Disclaimer - Please Read *

I agree to promote my panels via social media, especially if I am a content creator or own a business, no less than 3 (three) times, two of which will be the week leading up to ArtCon, and one the day of my panel, and share the link to ArtCon via Facebook-Instagram-social media. I agree to provide the content as stated in my panel and not change topics or deviate into other content areas/subject matter, including but not limited to religion, politics, government, social justice, virtue signaling, or any other topics meant to cause a deliberate argument or offensive subject matter during my panel.

Recording/Photo Permission *

I understand Neosho Arts Council has the right to record and replay my panel during ArtCon only. Screen captures can be taken and used for archieval purposes, media, or other promotional uses.
